I post this every year as my favorite fall payment plan. I have posted it on Facebook, but I have not posted it on my website this year. In the mean time, my mailbox and email box are full of all kinds of “Black Friday” specials so I will have one of my own. As I do every year, I let it be known that until the end of a tax season, I am offering to prepare bankruptcy petitions at my regular fee, but I will also throw in a free nonbusiness-individual tax return (I will throw in the equivalent discount on an individual return with a business or investment property component) I have established a popular payment plan when there is a refund in play, in which the client pays $200 upfront and the remainder of the fee when the refund arrives. This is described quite well in my first blog on the subject my Favorite Fall Bankruptcy Payment Plan. This year, though, I am going to add something new to make it a true “Black Friday” special. I will have this run until the end of January, although there is a very good chance I will extend it. I will have one free credit repair session with my client one year after filing. I will help you get a free credit report and we will check it for accuracy and send out a Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act demand letter to the credit reporting agencies to repair any inaccuracy.
