Today the President tweeted that he is suspending immigration to the United States. Putting aside the fact that it is simply a tweet, and thus meaningless by itself, immigration has been effectively suspended for the past month anyway. Neither the consulates or USCIS are conducting interviews, so we are pretty much at a dead stop. As such, I do not see this as an important development at this time. Obviously, I will be monitoring to see how this plays out going forward.
