Price Increase Coming Soon (Immigration)

I recently wrote a blog about cases in which people who have petitioned for their husband, wife or fiancé have been turned down on “fraud or material misrepresentation grounds”. A link to the following is here: Link

While I usually charge $1,500.00 to do a petition for a husband, wife or fiancé, I have been charging $2,500.00 in these cases. I have had a number come in, and my office has been working very hard on them. In fact, we have been working so hard on them that it has occurred to me that $2,500.00 is simply not enough. I apologize to my future clients, but the amount of work is considerable, and $2,500.00 is a problem for me. However, I am going to Cambodia in July, and I have already spoken to a number of people to whom I said I would charge $2,500.00. Several have said that they would be coming to see me in early June. I told all of them that I would be going to Cambodia in July and that it is important that they see me at least a couple of weeks before I leave, so that I will be fully prepared for when I meet with the Chief Consul. I certainly do not want to impose a price increase when I have already quoted a price to any number of people, and some have told me that they would be advising others in a similar situation. However, I also know that everyone who is currently planning to hire me will have already done so prior to July. As such, I am announcing that there will be a fee increase effective July 1, 2014. My current thinking is that it will be $3,500.00 but that is subject to change. It especially becomes subject to change after I meet with the new Chief Consul and get a better feel for how the embassy is going to be handling this issue in the future. Obviously, if the Chief Consul tells me I am working too hard, I will come down some. If the Chief Consul tells me that I have hardly scratched the surface of what needs to be done, then I may impose another fee increase.

Obviously, this fee increase does not apply to people that have already hired me, and the delay in imposing it is simply because I want to honor the fee quote that I have already made to so many people.
